A New Perspective
A New Perspective
Hello friend!
I have had this blog up and running for a while, though it has been neglected. Sometimes it is hard to decide what I would like for my blog, if something is "good enough" for it or worthy of a post.
So far, I have shared high points- the joys, coolest new things I have learned, recipes, etc. But do you know what? I have realized something that has given me a new perspective. People reading this very page are a lot like me. You want to know who I am, what makes me happy, what things in this world tear me up inside, what makes me smile and what kinds of things I struggle with. The reason you are like me is simple- it is because when you learn these very things about others, you are hoping that you might just learn a little bit more about yourself.
So here is my new perspective. I am going to commit to sharing life with you. The crazy good times that make my sides hurt with laughter. The darkest scary times where all of the golden hope of the world seems lost to me. The in-between times of both calm and chaos.
I realize this is a scary journey; you know- to put it all out there... It means I have to be vulnerable.
But, if I can be honest, each day I believe a little bit more that vulnerability is beneficial for growth, for accountability, and you know what else... I really don't have anything to loose. You see, I figure that if I am afraid to be vulnerable, then I must be hiding something. I don't want to be like that. I want my life to be an open book, flooded with honesty and the great hope that maybe someone can learn from my little life and be encouraged, because I was brave enough to be vulnerable.
In closing (for today), I hope you enjoy the journey with me! Thanks for joining the ride! There will be rough patches (I'm sure), but that's life for us isn't it?!! Some things I write may or may not make you laugh, some things may even be controversial, but as a reader, journeyer, and friend, I just ask that you leave all comments with respect & that they would be typed with a loving heart behind your little screen. <3

XO,
Melissa
