A Poem, A Prayer, A Thought
"When others are still bound by fear,
when they are too distracted or too frightened to obey,
by Your Spirit, may I quietly but completely do your will."
(Inspired by Joseph of Arimathea, in Mark Chapter 15, when the disciples fled Jesus and slept through His grief before the cross, and Joseph boldly and fully took care of Christ's mangled body as He prepared it for The King's short burial.)
Reflective Questions:
when they are too distracted or too frightened to obey,
by Your Spirit, may I quietly but completely do your will."
Reflective Questions:
- What fears bind me?
- Am I too distracted or frightened to obey that which Christ has commanded me?
- Am I willing to completely do God's will? Even if it must be done "quietly" and perhaps without any (positive) earthly recognition?
