Mission's Trip Recap

Hi friends!

This Spring Break, I went to Bolivia for my very first missions trip. I felt called to missions in 6th grade, but every time a trip opportunity came up and I prayed about it, I felt like God either said, "No," or "wait."

Last semester was a tough one, as I am sure most of us have experienced in one season or another. It was a sea of "no's," where I really felt like God shut all these doors in my face.
Even though His reasons were good, I still wrestled to believe that He would deliver on the promises; I struggled to believe those promises were for me.

Well one morning, after the world was falling apart from school shootings, the shooting at the concert in Las Vegas, and the devastating flooding in Texas, I remember crying out to God for both my life and for my country.

In that moment, I felt God clearly whisper to my heart, "Go to Bolivia."
That statement was a perfectly timed "yes" from God. The fulfillment of a promise to go on a mission's trip and eight years of prayer met in that sweet, God-orchestrated moment.
So I left to go on this trip, standing on this promise and affirmed belief that I serve a God who brings dreams full circle.
The week was filled with prayer and fresh vision and dreams being seeded in my heart. Beyond that, it was filled with promises that I know God will one day bring to fruition.

I learned that while I may forget some of the dreams God has laid in my heart, God never does. As you walk in step with Him, He will be gracious to remind you of those dreams, and will guide you, positioning you to see them completely come to fruition.

Be blessed!

Love Always,
Melly xoxo
