Lovin' This Open Door
Okay- friends, family, & readers!
I GOT THE R.A. POSITION!!!
Yes! I really did! I have the utmost privilege of being the RA of Spence Third North and I cannot wait! Actually, I can... I know I have a lot to learn as I prepare for this big role, but I am beyond honored and excited!
Quick story:
All of the ladies kept asking me if I'd been given the RA position. They were hoping and waiting to find out. Then, we were in chapel and my friend Emily and I were in the front row. She starts shaking and freaking out and I didn't know what was going on! She kept trying to unlock her iphone pass code and turned around to the ladies from our floor behind us as she jumped up and down in her seat.
Then, she opened her email and gave me the biggest hug! She had just received the email announcing the new RAs of our hall, and therefore she had found out I was going to be her RA! Haha it was so cute!... Even though it was during chapel and they were just about to begin the message! It was quite the scene, I must say, but it was so great to be able to openly be able to celebrate with everyone after having to keep it a confidential secret for two days!
I have already been analyzing the dynamics of the gals on my floor. I see some of the challenges- I also see the potential. Like I wrote last time, this endeavor shall stretch me. It will stretch them.
We will grow together- I do not doubt that for a hot second!
I cannot wait to see the new ladies that join our sweet, sweet sisterhood next year. May God give me wisdom and grace for each of these beautiful women! May he give me grace for each day. And most of all, may he give me grace for myself because I won't get everything right the first time around!
I am so grateful to all of you who read this blog. Thank you for your time, it means the world to me to have your support!
I am grateful for God opening this door. He has grown me in unimaginable ways; and lead me to doors I would have never thought would be opened unto me.
And I am grateful to be able to share this journey with all of you! One of the grandest gifts in life is to share the gift of life itself with one another.

Congratulations Melissa, there is no one I know more deserving than you to be the RA for Spence 3 N. God will use you to encourage, bless, and grow these young ladies more than you will ever know. I am praying that my daughter will get into Spence Hall 3N so you will be able to become part of the wonderful sisterhood that is already there and be a part of a very special group of young ladies being led by one of the sweetest, maturist young ladies God has blessed this Spence Hall with for 2016. God has great plans for you and I am as just excited to watch and hear what he will do in all of you and your ladies lives. I will pray for you everyday but this will be one of the easiest tasks God has ever given you because he knows you are perfect for it. Your very special Melissa and every life you touch and every life you are part of are beyond blessed to have you a part of it. I am blessed by you everyday and so thankful that he has made you a very special part of my life. May the Lord bless you always and Spence hall always.
ReplyDeleteThank You Tina for your encouragement, prayers, and support! I am so blessed to know and love you!
ReplyDeleteThank you for being a generous giver. May the Lord always give you delight in giving freely, because you beautifully reflect the way He freely gives to His Children too!
XOXO,
Mel
