Grateful Bliss
It is a warm, beautiful day today!
Yesterday, as I walked into my Nutrition class, my teacher asked if there were any prayer requests. I am not sure what overcame me (actually, I am pretty sure it was the Joy of the Lord), and I shot my hand up into the air.
As she called on me, I explained how grateful I was that we were all alive. "God gave His breath to us and granted us another day of life! I know it may seem elementary, but today I am just so grateful for life and that God is good!"
My professor paused and then smiled for a moment; she seemed to really be soaking it in.
If you are reading this, then the God of the Universe, God Almighty, decided he wanted to bless you with a morning of new mercies, and a day filled with opportunity to look to Him/walk with Him/love Him. A day to have the Joy of the Lord, which is our strength.
Sometimes we forget that we can just be blissfully happy that God is good and alive and loves us. That He saves us. May we be like little children who are able to be side-tracked away from the weighty worries of this world to take moments of grateful bliss.
XO,
Melissa
